While traditional Arrabiata pasta is made with fresh ingredients, you can use this spice as a shortcut to a simple, flavorful olive oil pasta, or you can make it authentic and enhance it with a touch of our blend (topped with pecorino, of course).


It pairs deliciously with olive oil, pasta, sauces, tomatoes, pizza and fresh. Bread Arrabbiata sauce, known in Italy as sugo all'arrabbiata, originated in the Lazio region surrounding Rome. "Arrabbiata" means "angry" in Italian and refers to the heat of red chili peppers. Although the exact origins are unclear, Arrabbiata was born using two staples from the Roman larder: chili peppers and tomatoes. Like many Italian dishes, it is made from the simplest of ingredients and the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts.
