A blend of the finest green teas from China.

The London Tea Auction was a grand tradition lasting 300 years. It was a regular event that established London as the centre of the international tea trade, from the first sale in 1679 until the last sale on 29 June 1998. The first auction was organised by the East India Company, which controlled the monopoly on the import of tea and other goods from the Indies.
The auction took place at "East India House", the company's headquarters in Leadenhall Street, London. The tea was sold "by candle", with a candle lit at the start of the sale of each lot. When one inch of the candle had burned out, the hammer fell and the sale ended, thereby preventing indefinite continuation of bidding. Records show that the best teas were kept for the directors and shareholders of the company, a sign of outstanding quality and taste. A delicious, delicate green tea to be enjoyed at any time of the day
