Munchies® were originally created by McIntosh and launched on the UK market in 1957.
Since its launch, the product has been individual milk chocolate cubes, with a shell filled with sweet, buttery soft caramel and crunchy biscuit.
Since the 1960s, the MUNCIES® brand name has been white lettering on a red background.
MUNCIES® were originally produced in the McIntosh factory in Norwich but in 1994 production moved to Newcastle, where it remains today.
Over the years, a number of different flavour variations have been launched under the MUNCIES® brand, including Chocolate Orange in 1977 and Banoffee in 1996, but the Original has consistently remained the popular flavour within the range.
In addition to the 52g tubes and 113g share bags found in retailers all year round, the MUNCIES® range also includes Easter Egg and Christmas Giant Tubes. Creamy milk chocolate cubes encased in soft caramel and cream. Crunchy biscuit centre. No artificial colours, flavours or flavours. No preservatives. Suitable for vegetarians.
