Harvey Nichols Ensemble is so named to represent the intersection of the five grape varieties that make up this classically styled blend. Winemaker Carl van der Merwe expertly selected and blended small plots of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec from the south-facing highlands of Stellenbosch. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak before bottling. This classically styled blend is deep crimson in colour and has rich aromas of red berry fruit and hints of Provencal herbs. With a soft and silky mouthfeel, this medium-bodied red wine further exhibits aromas of cassis, black cherry and spices, supported by fine tannins, resulting in a long, satisfying finish. This elegant cuvée is beautiful to drink now and will continue to age gracefully for the next six years or more.
