Al Pastor Tacos: Perhaps Mexico City's trendiest taco, these tacos are known for their sweet, smoky flavor (often grilled over an open flame). Las Chicas Al Pastor meal kits bring you the smoky heat of guajillo peppers and the sweetness of pineapple, topped with salsa verde (made with green tomatoes and jalapeño peppers) for a fresh kick.
Las Chicas meal kits make preparation easy and convenient: just 4 steps!
1. Preparation: Slice the pork and mix it with Las Chicas al Pastor Cooking Paste (small packet) in a bowl. Set aside and let the pork marinate while you prepare the rest. If you have time, marinate it longer for an even richer flavor. Chop the pineapple, onion, and chop the coriander. You will use these later.
2. Sizzle: Add plenty of oil to a frying pan and fry the pork over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes, stirring often halfway through, then reduce heat and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
3. Heat: Heat in a dry skillet for 20 seconds per side or pop them all in the microwave for 20 seconds each to get deliciously toasty Las Chica Tortillas.
4. Gather: It's taco time! First, place the pork on the heated tortilla, then the cilantro, onion, and some pineapple chunks, and finally a generous drizzle of Las Chicas Salsa Verde.
